Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: The insect was caught while drinking nectar from a trumpet vine. Several others of the same species have been observed on the same trumpet vine and others in the last few days. The moth was then observed for a few minutes, then released again where it was found. The moth revealed the pink on its back wings and shook them when it felt threatened.
