Observation date: September 14, 2021
Submitted by: Joshua C
Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: Still in the same drainage ditch, about 6-8 individuals seen in one area. They were flying low over the water in the ditch and often stopped to perch on the green plants in the water, spreading out their wings (basking presumably) whenever they landed. They would also chase each other off of their perches a lot. The pale line near the middle of the ventral hindwing in the photo could be this species' pale line or just lighting.
