Observation notes: Nectaring on Balsamorhiza sagitatta in Columbia Hills Natural Area Preserve. Light winds and sunny afternoon, mid 60's F temperature. Habitat is oak savanna grassland with good flower bloom of lupine, balsamroot, phlox, popcorn flower, owl's clover, and other species.
