Malacosoma californicum

Observation date: May 09, 2015

Coordinator notes: You are correct that it's Malacosoma, and M. disstria, M. constricta, and M. californica (also spelled californicum) all occur in that area. Because there are no white tufts on the larva, I don't think it's constricta. M. californica seems to be the best match. Bob Martin
