Observation notes: Found along an exposed steep slope in meadows near conifer forest. Windy and sunny afternoon with temperature in high 60's F. Habitat includes balsamroot, lupine, paintbrush, groundsel, larkspur, popcorn flower, some grasses, popcorn flower, yarrow, chickweed. Last image shows the habitat where found. At least two individuals seen in the area. Butterfly placed in plastic envelope for identification, released unharmed.
