Observation notes: Sunny, breezy, about 80-85 degrees, humid. The butterfly was inspecting each floret on a red clover blossom, not moving slowly, but carefully checking each one. Nearby were ironweed, joe pye weed, goldenrod, wingstem, mint, cattails, oak, sycamore, locust, willow, mixed grasses and tall weeds, next to a small, shallow pond.
