Observation notes: Sunny, windy, 80-85 degrees, partially cloudy with a cold front moving in. The butterfly was flitting low along the gravel road near the weedy edge, pausing occasionally on the gravel. Nearby were goldenrod, lespedeza, queen anne's lace, poison ivy, mixed weeds and grasses, oak, locust, juniper, sycamore, autumn olive, multiflora rose, honeysuckle.
