Observation notes: Nectaring on Horsetail Milkweed (Asclepias subverticillata) in 40 ft. by 25 ft. patch of milkweed located in dry swale behind human-made earthen dam (stock tank) surrounded by rolling Pinon-Juniper habitat. Had apparently survived a bird attack, as the lower corner of one hind wing was missing. Observing some "sawing" of its wings while nectaring. Also present was one Marine Blue. This is the same location where Juniper and Thicket Hairstreaks were found three days ago. Elevation: 7,008 ft.
