Observation notes: Large moth (approx. 2.5 inches long) observed flying and alighting on a juniper trunk and then on a Ponderosa Pine Trunk when disturbed. The hind wings had bright red/orange wing patches which caught my attention. It was difficult to locate once it alighted.
