Observation notes: Coworker at the garden center I work at thought I'd like to see this moth and photograph it, so she brought it over to me. She'd found it resting on a royal blue piece of pottery outside. I held it in my hand; it felt so light in weight and soft. Stayed there for about 3 or 4 minutes then flew off and landed on the ground where it batted its wings for about 30 seconds then slowly stopped batting them, stayed there about 2 minutes then flew off. Beautiful creature! Weather: 83 degrees, approx. 45% humidity. Size: Approx. 2.5"
