Observation notes: Partly cloudy, very humid, about 85 degrees. The butterfly was drifting from leaf to leaf, and finally settled for a few moments. Nearby were ironweed, joe pye weed, wingstem, poison ivy, grapevines, oak, elm, maple, beech, locust, sycamore, hickory.
