Observation notes: These caterpillars were eating salvia texana, south garden area, south side of brick wall. Weather has been 70’s-mid 80’s, dry.
I thought they were cecropia moth cats at first, but spines are wrong, and no orange tubercles on face.
I only found two caterpillars.

Coordinator notes: The more likely host plant here is the Texas Sage, Leucophyllum frutescens, used by calleta throughout south Texas.
