Coordinator notes: Best you found the California Ringlets and not the rattlesnakes in the grass there. I used to lead childrens field trips there for Kern County Child Protective Services. It was always too hot, not enough water or too long a wait for being taken up the hills. This is the type locality for San Emigdio Blues, which were flying at Lake of the Woods near Frazier Park yesterday.-Ken Davenport
