Observation notes: A few flowers of quickweed (Galinsoga parviflora Cav.) emerged alongside southern cattail stems and attracted orange-colored skipperlings to nectar. This site is moist to the surface on the bank of the Rio Grande. The morning was characterized by full sunshine, warm temperature, and was breezy.
