Coordinator notes: This is probably a Haploa sp., although it's difficult to see how there would be no lateral yellow markings even on a dorsal view. I talked this over with John and Jane Balaban and they thought it possible, since it really isn't hairy enough for Apantesis sp. It would be great to know if this was a fast moving caterpillar (in which case we'd be more likely to think it might be Apantesis after all). But without that information I'm going with Haploa sp.
