Coordinator notes: Per MPG, Loxostege sticticalis is now considered extralimital to North America, and is separated by appreciable differences in larval characteristics from Loxostege munroealis. Munroe (1976) noted slight differences in wing pattern, genitalia and DNA. As far as BAMONA goes, this is still L. sticticalis; our taxonomy will catch up at some point. Jared Hartl of BugGuide was very helpful in confirming that this was probably L. munroealis and not L. sticticalis.
