Coordinator notes: The Anicia Checkerspot...formerly included with/as the "Variable Checkerspot" which I think were all considered as Euphydryas chalcedona at one time. The two species are evidently distinct (chalcedona mostly in the far western U.S., incl. Arizona). Note: If your following posted sighting of this butterfly is from the same place and date, I will/have reject/ed it as a duplicate submission for that reason only. Mike
