Coordinator notes: Nice one. This is a male of the species. I had a time identifying it as Tiger Moths can be SO variable. But the forewing pattern helped a great deal, it's a bit unique compared to other moths of this species. I found the moth in my library, Butterflies and Moths of Missouri by J. Richard & Joan E. Heitzman. Even the hindwings in this species can vary being red on black or also black on red patterns. Glad I could identify. Thank you! JAMES STEEN
