Coordinator notes: Hi Char...no, not a very good photo but enough to verify this crescentspot which is expanding its range in northeastern Colorado, evidently from the north...the first recorded from Weld County in 2017 (an iNat photo) and recently in the town of Berthoud (Larimer County...another iNat photo) on nearly the date of your observation...now you have the MORGAN COUNTY RECORD. Keep an eye out for it again next year...as early as late April through May...in July...and again late. It probably has three flights...the caterpillar feed on thistles. I'm sure you do not try to keep all of them out of your yard! Did you get the Giant Swallowtail caterpillar to pupae? Hope they were not parasitized. Will be interested to know if they make it through to next spring...probably emerge in May-June if outside. Mike
