Observation notes: observed at UC Davis Arboretum; mostly sunny; near 70 degrees F; saw at least 2 of them flying around and landing on flowers

Coordinator notes: Very nice, my first experience with this California subspecies was in Stockton where this swallowtail was very rare. I encountered only about 5 in the 4 years I lived in Stockton.-Ken Hopefully, government cutbacks won't end the Yosemite Butterfly Count.
