Observation notes: Hot and sunny in south central Ontario, Canada. Seen a day or two earlier but photographed on the 7th. The hind wings are translucent and could not find a match in my book. Resting on a Cosmos flower. Wing span approx. 1.75 - 2". Colour as shown in photo. Had been flitting around at the various flowers in the garden.
