Observation notes: We have a large native garden on the front of our ranch house. I saw this butterfly from my office window and new it was a longtail as a dashed out the house with my Canon SX50. I got several pictures of it while it was feeding from the Mealy Blue Sage. It stayed in the yard about 5 minutes and then flew off. The day was warm and a clear sky. It was a new species for the ranch and a new species for me in Kerr County
