Observation notes: Just had a heavy windy thunderstorm, very humid now. The butterfly was resting on lavender in a flowerbed with Eryngium Sea Holly (Globe Thistle) and Russian Sage. Many bumble bees frequent this sun drenched area that is protected by a stone wall on one side.
