Observation notes: I observed this moth briefly in the Botany Garden on the campus of the University of Wisconsin in Madison, Dane County - southern Wisconsin. I believe it is a white-tipped black moth. I have never seen one before. This is the only photo I was able to get before it disappeared. I wonder how often they are observed in Wisconsin?
