Observation notes: Our ranch house native garden is overflowing with butterflies and moths. While I was working around the edges, a smaller white butterfly flew from a Mealy Blue Sage and up onto another Sage higher in the garden. Although it never gave me a perfect view, I got about 6 pictures that clearly show it is a worn Laviana. One more southern Texas species showing up in Central Texas this week. I talked to some other butterfly folks who mentioned one was found in Comal County the same day. Again there is only a Legacy record.
