Observation notes: We had seen a large number of the very common Little Yellows. I looked at this butterfly -- our last of the day and noticed the lack of two black dots at the base of the hind wing (ventral surface); it was also more pale and in flight had less dark bordering the fore wings and almost none on the edging of the hind wings (dorsal side).
