Observation notes: Butterfly was photographed at the lower emerald pool at Zion National Park. The temperature that day was in the high 90s. Almost cloudless.

Just a note for submitters that read this. There is a definite need for Lepidopterist that can identify butterflies & moths for BAMONA. I'm a regional coordinator for KS, IA & TN. I felt I was not getting as many submissions as I could actually identify so asked to take on Utah. I was a bit surprised I was immediately, gladly, given over 200 submissions needing identified from that state dating back nearly 7-8 years. Many of those easy to identify at immediate sight. I'm down into the 130 area now but it takes time. Hopefully others could volunteer as when I'm finished with Utah I'll ask for another area. JAMES STEEN
