Observation notes: In field consisting mostly goldenrod, some sweet white clover, occasional eastern white cedar. Overcast with intermittent sun. Caterpillar as shown 27mm long. Feeding on some kind of sedge. Another adjacent feeding on goldenrod (had purplish stems and growing near water's edge). Several adult moths in vicinity.
