Observation notes: Early evening, mostly sunny with a few clouds, about 70 degrees, light breeze. The butterfly was slowly flitting along the tops of waist-high weeds, landing occasionally, but not showing much interest in eating. Nearby were goldenrod, joe pye weed, ironweed, milkweed, fleabane, honeysuckle, serviceberry, hawthorne, oak, maple, beech, mixed grassses, ferns.
