Observation notes: Found feeding on Engelman Ivy - prolific feeders that eat only leaves. When first sighted (found 3) they were very dark, almost black. Over 1.5-2 weeks they grew and coloring lightened even lighter than pictured. Overall length at last sighting was about 4.5 inches.
