Observation notes: About 1 inch length of body -- wingspan as shown is about 1 1/4 inch. Bright orange moth with dark lines, two oblong/split white spots outlined in black and two muddled, light orange spots with white flecks. I thought this was Bracken and not Columbine Borer (Papaipema leucostigma) because of the lighter color? Strange that I saw this one at all -- its been around 40 degrees F here lately at night, and I haven't seen many moths at all
