Observation notes: Seen on speckled alder ( Alnus incana ) but not seen eating. In damp area near a diversity of perennials and annuals and adjacent to human habitation. Other nearby plants include corn lily, knotweed, aster, monkey flower, willow. Also red fir trees and pine trees near by and much taller. About 7,400 feet elevation at site that received a large snow fall load overwinter.
