The Common Looper Moth
Autographa precationis

Observation date: September 01, 2017
Date notes: As I found him inside this is fairly obsolete.
Submitted by: kittencaterpillars
Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: I'm actually keeping him as a pet because he's small and its September and cold. I don't know what kind he is, though I originally thought he was a winter moth (still could be for all I know). I actually found him inside on one of my plants; he likes mint, catnip, and goldenrod leaves. He used to be solid green with lighter stripes on his side, but he's developing black spots on his side and eyes, and he's starting to grow a little hair.
