Observation notes: I was in my hammock hanging out and I heard the leaves moving, I was just reading my book and kept hearing the leaves move from underneath of me so I wanted to check it out, to my surprise I see this caterpillar with hints of yellow and what appears to be "tiny hairs" evenly distributed all over it's body. He was just wondering around in the dead leaves, he/she moved at a decent pace. The weather is beautiful today here in Monongah, West Virginia. It's about 75-80 degrees, unlikely for this time of year but it has been warmer than usual. I'm not sure of the trees I am around but I'm definitely surrounded by a lot along the West Fork River in Monongah, West Virginia.
