Observation notes: Many quiescent adults and a few flying observed, on the order of a few dozen. In sand pine scrub at Yamato Scrub Natural Area, Palm Beach County, Florida. First observed by my daughter Maya, age 6. ID via Sandy Koi from Charles Covell. First individual found resting on Cassytha filiformis, and others on a variety of plants. Host scrub oaks very abundant at this site, including Quercus chapmanii, Q. geminata and Q. myrtifolia. Weather was cold that day for our area: 14C, 58F average at Boca Raton.
