Observation notes: Was Very Dry most butterflies and bee's were getting nectar at Mistletoe, very little else Blooming except Cuperosa a few buckwheat and a few desert lavender. the Ocotillos were starting to bloom. We put a pot of water under hose Bib at campground for birds to drink and did a slow drip for a while western blue birds were very happy as was the birds that we call the mistletoe bird! then i noticed this dark butterfly fly by. Was quite sure what it was. soon there there were two flying around the water! Two females one with tails one with tails missing! Mid seventies mid day. low was Probably mid forties 1700 ft colorado Low desert Abdsp! Anza Borrego Desert State Park! Lots of very low growing trees full of mistletoe a whole valley full.
