Observation notes: This small butterfly was seen near a colony of Pasque Flowers. The afternoon was cloudy with temps in the mid to high 50s. (Elevation 7,400')

Coordinator notes: Correct ID; the early observation date alone rules out the other two green hairstreaks of Larimer County. This is a very local species, not nearly as often observed as its relative, the Juniper Hairstreak. This individual is about as dark green as this species gets, not to mention the very exaggerated white band.
