Observation notes: These three butterflies were found drinking nectar from common milkweed (Asclepias syriaca). They would land on the flower clumps and would walk around with their wings open, not necessarily facing the sun to sun themselves. They sometimes spent up to a few minutes on one clump of flowers at a time.
