Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: I found this Turbulent Phosphila caterpillar, just an inch or so long, dining on the underside of a green briar vine leaf. I am just north of Ames, Iowa, out in the country, on a hill, in an area of mixed woods, prairie and cropland, not too far East of I-35 and between Skunk River and Bear Creek.
