Observation notes: Time: ~10:15 a.m. Weather: Hot, calm, and mostly sunny, with an approaching bank of thunderstorms. Habitat: Flower-rich floor of a sparse montane pine forest. Notes: Based on the frosted green color, lack of pink ringing around the spot in the middle of the hindwing, and lack of pink wing fringing, I believe this is a Queen Alexandra's Sulphur, not a Scudder's Sulphur like last year.

Coordinator notes: Just based on what shows through the forewing, it looks like a male but I see no real yellow color on this one (male or female they are normally yellow or yellowish on the uns). Was this a female and was it albino (white instead of yellow)? They are uncommon to rare, just like some males might have orange on the hindwings or entirely orange wings above and thus look like the Orange Sulphur! Mike
