Coordinator notes: This is an Achemon sphinx caterpillar. I'm guessing there are grapevines or closely related plants near the specific location of this sighting; the primarily nocturnal caterpillars eat these. In fact, they eat so aggressively, you can sometimes hear them crunching leaves on a quiet night!
