Observation notes: I found this on the lawn in my backyard. I put it on a table with a Canadian 5 cent coin for size comparison. I returned it to the place in the lawn after the image was taken.

Coordinator notes: Correct identification. I'm guessing there are grapevines, the usual hostplant, near the place where you found this caterpillar. This one looks fully grown, and is probably looking for a place to pupate in the soil.
