Observation notes: Partly sunny, about 60 degrees, not much of a breeze. The butterfly briefly lighted on some dead leaves, then sailed away. Nearby were a running creek, various mosses, spring beauty, cutleaf toothwort, rue anemone, spicebush, rhododendron, oak, beech, maple, poplar, hemlock.
