Observation notes: 1st spotted after the 4th day of cool, cloud & rain. Crawling, but not eating a variegated Hosta. This plant is in shade & is surrounded by other Hostas, Columbines, Bleeding Hearts & Turtleheads. The surrounding area consists of an expanse of lawn, woods( poplars, aspens, spruces, elders & dogwoods) and a natural pond.
