Dusky-blue Groundstreak
Calycopis isobeon

Observation date: January 17, 2020
Submitted by: Paul Prappas
Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: This group is difficult, but I'm doubting this is "isobeon". Tan ground color, and thin, slightly inwardly curved HW post-medial band supports either "origo" or "drusilla." Fringe also shows some orange. The problem is that the HW cell bar has no red striping. Not sure how variable that is.

Coordinator notes: Note to Paul: Isobeon because of the two red lunules (the other 2 don't have), browner base color (like book & online photos) and it is more common than the other two; plus yours is almost identical to the one in the Swift Guide and the others on BAMONA. But whew, another tough call! This is a hard volunteer job! :-) But fun!
