Observation notes: Attracted to old porch light. As I walked up to the porch it started flying erratically around the light banging itself hard in the corners. I caught it and took it behind the porch to set it free near the outside utility light which is close to a large area of planted pines. Many types of deciduous trees are also in this area. It flew upwards toward the light, then straight for the ground. I took a picture of it on the dark ground, and not wanting to disturb it anymore, I came back later to see that it was gone.
