Observation notes: On a rock in wooded area next to Spearfish Creek. Aspens. Wildflowers. Poison ivy. White berried shrub. In iPhoto live format can see the underside as a camouflage brown/gray leaf. I also have 30 second video of repeated ‘fanning’ of wings. Sunny weather, 90 degrees though observed in shade. Note - imported pictures got rotated by 90 degrees. Landing rock is at bottom of photo.
