Observation notes: Near a floodlight on my deck. I can see what you are saying on submission 1275545. My thought on calling it Orthodes cynica was based a lot on the dark AM and the PM line which seems to slope upward toward the median. My picture is not great, the moth was difficult to photograph. There is definitely a reddish tinge, but that can fit cynica as well.
