Observation notes: Cingilia catenaria larva on blackberry (Rubus setosus) leaf in a fen (peatland).
Thousands of larvae were observed in the fen habitat feeding on bog birch (Betula pumila) leaves, willow (Salix petiolaris, S. serissima) leaves, short-tailed rush (Juncus brevicaudatus) leaves and flowers, and leaves of small sedge species (Carex spp.) and cotton grass (Eriophorum spisum).
