Coordinator notes: Marta, this is the very similar Painted Crescent. Undersides have the best diagnostic characters, but check your field guide for Painted and see if you come to the same conclusion. In recent years there have been several crescent photos submitted to BAMONA from the Rio Grande valley in Dona Ana County. so far they all have been Painted Crescents. may be too hot for Field Crescent, which typically lives at higher elevations.
